We're excited to welcome Andrew Longley as FDRI's new Principal Hydrogeologist, who will provide technical authority on for the project. Andrew brings 30 years’ experience in the public, private and academic sectors in the UK as well as in the international development sector, principally in Nicaragua and is currently the Principal Hydrogeologist at the British Geological Survey.
Andrew’s technical expertise covers integrated water resources management, groundwater modelling, groundwater - surface water interactions, groundwater flooding, wetlands ecohydrology, water quality, arsenic contamination, saline intrusion, geothermal investigations and WASH. He has managed a diverse range of projects and programmes including groundwater risk assessments, environmental impact assessments, international development projects and humanitarian relief. Andrew is the founder and former director of Nuevas Esperanzas, a UK registered charity established in 2005 to implement integrated development programmes in Nicaragua.
