Webinar: using large-sample hydrology data - CAMELSGBv2 and Uk-Flow15

This webinar provided an update on upcoming FDRI data products and showcased two new large-sample, high-resolution, hydrology datasets supported by FDRI: UK-Flow15 and CAMELS-GB v2. These datasets consist of hydrological data at 15-minute to hourly resolution for hundreds of catchments, representing a step change for environmental and modelling analyses across the UK.

Workshop: Enabling reproducibility in hydrological research

Revisit the sessions from the Floods and Droughts Research Infrastructure (FDRI) workshop: 'Enabling reproducibility in hydrological research' held in January 2024.

FDRI Digital Workshop: Enabling reproducibility

Read about the summary and outcomes from this consultative workshop on how FDRI can support reproducible hydrological research.

The making of CAMELS-GBv2: bringing together hydrometeorological data for the community

Hear from Gemma Coxon, hydrologist at the University of Bristol, on the collaborative effort to make a new version of CAMELS-GB even more accessible and comprehensive.

The making of UK-Flow15: enabling large-sample hydrology through high-resolution flow data

Developed through a community effort, UK-Flow15 is a new high-frequency river flow dataset for the UK. Felipe Fileni, who collated the data during his PhD at Newcastle University and now continues to develop it within FDRI, shares insights into the making of the dataset.

The future of drought research in the UK

The Environment Agency, with FDRI partners - the University of Bristol and the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (UKCEH) - convened 48 experts for a national workshop in 2024. The workshop focussed on understanding catchment processes during drought conditions and identified the most urgent research priorities.
